For God so loved that he GAVE

The generous nature of God is the most powerful change agent in the world. Not only did he give from the heart of love but he continues to invite us by attracting us to kindness – Rom 2:4.

The church carries a great responsibility to fulfill God’s word of sacrificial loving, sacrificial giving and sacrificial kindness.

It’s the understanding of eternal priorities that brings us to a willing sacrifice of temporal things. At FWC we understand that the previous generation made many sacrifices so we could be here today. Now it’s our turn to embrace the loving, giving and kind nature of God as we reach out to the next generation.

Giving at FWC

Giving at FWC is a part of God working through real life. We believe that giving begins long before the money goes into the offering bucket or comes out of your bank account. It is a lifestyle of being a producer, not a consumer but sowing seed and being prepared to give out of our increase. We don’t give to simply receive. The important thing is that we live with the spirit of giving.

It is through our giving where the greatest blessings and provision can be seen.

Other Ways To Give

Gifts of Cash

A gift of cash is a simple and easy way for you to make a gift. You will receive a charitable tax deduction that will provide you with savings on this year’s tax return.

Send Us Your Gift By Mail

You can send us a check or money order. Please let us know if you want your gift used for a specific purpose, by indicating that purpose either by note or in a letter to us.

Gift of Insurance

A gift of your life insurance policy is an excellent way to make a gift to us. If your life insurance policy is no longer needed or will no longer benefit your survivors consider making a gift and help further our mission.

Designate Us as Beneficiary of Your Policy

You can also designate FWC as the beneficiary of your life insurance policy. You will continue to own and can make use of the policy during your lifetime. The policy will be included in your taxable estate when you pass away, but your estate will benefit from an estate tax charitable deduction for the value of the gift to us.

Gifts of Stocks and Bonds

A gift of your securities, including your stocks or bonds, is an easy way for you to make a gift. By making a gift of your appreciated securities, you can avoid paying capital gains tax that would otherwise be due if you sold these assets. Here are some of the potential benefits: avoid paying capital gains tax, receive a charitable income tax deduction, further our local and global impact today!

Gifts of Real Estate

A gift of your real property (such as your home, vacation property, vacant land, farmland or commercial property) can make a great gift. If you own appreciated real property, you can avoid paying capital gains tax by making a gift to us. Here are some of the benefits you may enjoy: avoid paying capital gains tax, receive a charitable income tax deduction, leave a lasting legacy.

What is a Gift in Kind?

There are two pockets from which we can fund the ministry of the church: Our current income (e.g. salary, pensions, etc.) and our accumulated assets (i.e. stocks and bonds, marketable securities). Some planned gifts come from our accumulated assets and are intended to fund the long term ministry objectives of the church. They may be deferred (e.g. a bequest in a will) or immediate (e.g. a gift of stock). Such gifts often require a good bit of planning to take advantage of all the tax benefits, which is why they are called planned gifts. The beauty of planned giving is that you can designate your gift toward the area of the church’s work that you feel passionate about and want to ensure remains strong and vital for years to come. Some of those areas include:

The general fund of FWC as well as long term ministry priorities of the church through supporting the building fund, or a particular aspect of the work of the church such as the I.A.M.B.K, world missions, and various other ministries.
